Who We Are

Matthew 13:8-9 “Other seeds fell on good soil and brought forth grain, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. If you have ears, hear!”

Trinity Episcopal Church is made of good soil. Our church members love our church, and as our Holy Cow survey attests, we possess a high degree of spirituality. A once vibrant and active congregation, we have slipped into a dry period. Our field has recently lain dormant, and our yield has dwindled. Some of this may be due to the age of our congregation. Some of this may be due to the passing away of leaders who jump started us when we were slow to act. Some of this may be due to disillusionment over church conflict.

But here is something we know with certainty. We deeply and sincerely wish to produce good crops again. We are praying for a priest who will sow the seed of excitement and optimism. We yearn to be motivated and united again. We eagerly await someone to show us the way to live up to what Jesus wishes us to be and to do. We love and care for one another. We wish to share that love and care with friends we have not yet met, reaching out to the vulnerable and accepting them wherever they may be on their journey.
